Triptych - Sculptural Necklace - Body Structure - Bitácora Collection
Description
Constructed from fragments of an antique Victorian silver coin purse and alpaca flatware, the piece reconfigures everyday objects under a structural logic detached from their original function.
The preserved floral reliefs of the purse introduce a historical ornamental charge, contrasting with the industrial verticality of the flatware elements.
The assembly is articulated through rings that function as hinges, allowing controlled movement. The piece responds to the body without losing its constructive character, shifting between rigidity and adaptability.
The closure system, resolved through an adjustable metal zipper, introduces an operational dimension: the height can be modified, transforming the reading of the piece from a contained presence to a more extended projection across the torso.
It stands as a logbook of passage, where the most intimate past converges with a more technical contemporaneity.
