Orbita brings together mechanical systems from different origins and historical periods into a unified structural composition, where materials originally conceived for distinct functions acquire a new sculptural order.

The visual journey begins with the fluid drape of an antique sterling silver mesh reclaimed from a vintage coin purse. This flexible metallic textile transitions into a vertical structural axis, establishing a dialogue between flexibility, mechanical precision, and balance.

At its core, a descending sequence of six vintage automatic wristwatch rotors is preserved and secured using their original winding crowns. Components originally designed to store kinetic energy generated by the wearer’s movement are reassembled here into a rhythmic composition that responds naturally to the body’s motion while preserving their mechanical identity.

Conceived as a limited-edition wearable sculpture, Orbita explores the relationship between gravity, rhythm, and articulation through the reinterpretation of historical mechanical systems within a contemporary formal language.

Materials: Antique sterling silver mesh reclaimed from a vintage coin purse, reclaimed vintage travel clock plates, reclaimed vintage alarm clock mechanisms, reclaimed automatic watch rotors, original winding crowns, and bronze structural elements.

Kinetic Construction: The descending central axis is constructed from six authentic vintage automatic watch rotors, each secured by its original winding crown. Together, these reclaimed mechanical components preserve the visual logic of the automatic winding system while introducing controlled movement that naturally accompanies the wearer.

Closure & Fit: Dual adjustable clasps, reclaimed from vintage women’s wristwatches, provide a secure, ergonomic fit while preserving the mechanical character of the composition.
