Description
Nucleus is a composition contained within the case of a pocket watch, where mechanical fragments converge into a dense radial structure. Eight repurposed components from wristwatches are arranged in a precise circular rhythm, forming a unified system in motion.
The interior reveals a layered construction of metallic surfaces, with transitions between silver and gold tones. Small rubies introduce points of tension and depth within the composition.
Nucleus functions inwardly; its energy is concentrated at the center, where repetition, symmetry, and variation coexist.
The piece is part of a series of works in which existing mechanical fragments are reorganized into new formal systems. Each composition varies depending on the recovered elements, making each edition intrinsically distinct.
