Asymmetrical Statement Necklace - Bitácora Collection - Dissonance

"Dissonance"

An articulated asymmetric chest armor constructed from mechanisms belonging to antique cuckoo and alarm clocks. The work pairs openwork surfaces with three-dimensional modules of authentic bullet shell casings.

Compositional Tension & Openwork Architecture: The structure unfolds in a planar sequence of orthogonal and organic fragments joined by precision jump rings. Geometric negative space within the metal creates a play of transparency against the skin, while the calculated asymmetry establishes a sense of kinetic movement and visual tension.

Bullet Casing Modules & Integrated Side Clasp: The volumetric motifs positioned across the surface are authentic bullet shell casings that deliver relief and tactile weight. Moving beyond ornament, the closure system is custom-designed for this piece: one of the upper casings functions as an active lateral locking mechanism, integrating the fastening system directly into the structural logic of the chest piece.

Modular Chain: The sculpture suspends from an articulated chain of flat rectangular brass plates that extend the industrial aesthetic around the neck, securing a comfortable fit and an ergonomic anatomical drape.
